Don was the Forward Observer for 81mm Mortars with Mike Company. This photo was taken in the FDC bunker on Hill 10 just a few miles outside Da Nang.

Don was originally from Lake Tahoe, Nevada and left Vietnam in October 1967 with a broken leg due to a Jeep accident.
