Huey Gunship Armament

The above photo shows the armament mounted on the side of one of the Huey helicopter gunships.
Two forward pointing M-60 machine guns along with a pod of seven 2.5 inch rockets were mounted
on both sides and were fired by the pilot. In the open doorway the mount for another M-60 machine
gun can be seen. This M-60 was fired by the door gunner. One of these was on each side also.

The photo below of the same armament clearly shows the guides for the belt ammo going to the
two M-60s. The ammo was stored under the bench seat in the back of the Huey.
