CLIPPINGS FROM
MIKE STEWART'S SCRAPBOOK

White Phosphorous

stew24.jpg

81mm mortar white phosphorous rounds land on a ridge line on the south side of the Vu Gia River. White Phosphorous rounds were commonly used as spotter rounds because of their high visibility factor. This view is looking south from Hill 52.

Many thanks to Mike Stewart, former 3/7 Mortar man, for supplying
this great photo for inclusion in the scrapbook.
